Theatre Director

Specializing in developing new work Rob is the co-founder and was Artistic Director of CDP (Collaborative Development Production) in residence at Graduate Musical Theatre Writing at NYU from 2011-2017. He is also the co-founder of Wet INk new play festival in Bloomington, Indiana. Rob has developed over 50 new plays and musicals and counting.

Rob has also directed for several premiere theatre schools including the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and Indiana University.

 
Theatre Educator

Rob is currently part-time faculty at Montgomery County Community College where he teaches Acting as well as serving as a student advisor. Previously Rob has taught at Indiana University, New York University and University of Texas South West. He has taught Acting, Directing, Musical Theatre, Theatre History, Acting for New Plays nd Musicals and Movement Theory for Actors and Directors.

Rob has taught a variety of age groups including young students as a Teaching Artist and Directing Specialist for the Metropolitan Opera Guild and as a Theatre Specialist for ESF Summer Camps and Oasis Summer Camps.

Theatre Dramaturg

In addition to directing and teaching Rob also serves as a freelance Dramaturg specializing in moving writers from early drafts through the revision process and preparing them for a workshop and supporting them through realizing their play for the first time.

Rob has worked with individual writers and with theatre companies and festivals alike and has been an advocate for new work in all areas of his professional life.
